The Pass Plus Scheme

What does Pass Plus mean?

The PASS PLUS scheme is a practical driver training course, designed by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency), a UK government agency. It is mainly useful for new drivers, to help them consolidate and expand their driving skills.

Key Facts & Benefits of the PASS PLUS Scheme:
  • you will get a minimum of 6 hours of in-car training, including a minimum of 5.5 hours of driving
  • your insurance premium could be reduced
  • you will get practical driving sessions on motorways
  • you will learn to drive at night and in other weather conditions
  • your risk of road crash could be reduced​
  • you will not take a test, but your driving instructor will assess you
